Fair use rationale for Image:Pre-worldcom-logo.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Pre-worldcom-logo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Project FMF (talk) 20:34, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Miscellaneous

Note to administrators: User ItsZippy erroneously indicated that this IP was not blocked. It is.

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Request reason:

This particular IP, 65.111.172.102, which is part of a larger blocked range (65.111.160.0/20) is listed as blocked. I have had full control over the machine behind it for approximately two years. The other 4,093 IPs in that block are in a hosting center, and I have no control over them. Hopefully the fact that I've had an account here since 2003 and my edit history lends some credence to my removal request.

Accept reason:

IP block exempt

[edit]

I have granted your account an exemption from IP blocking. This will allow you to edit through full blocks affecting your IP address when you are logged in.

Please read the page Wikipedia:IP block exemption carefully, especially the section on IP block exemption conditions.

Note in particular that you are not permitted to use this newly-granted right to edit Wikipedia via anonymous proxies, or disruptively. If you do, or there is a serious concern of abuse, then the right may be removed by any administrator.

Appropriate usage and compliance with the policy may be checked periodically, due to the nature of block exemption, and block exemption will be removed when no longer needed (for example, when the block it is related to expires).

I hope this will enhance your editing, and allow you to edit successfully and without disruption. Daniel Case (talk) 17:45, 13 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
