Who coined the term and when was it first used? Wondering simply, -- Infrogmation

Strauss and Howe in Generations. -- Gregory Pietsch
Okay. I put that in the article. Strauss and Howe seems like it could use an article (or a redirect). Infrogmation

Although what it says in this article sounds interesting I cannot really make head or tail of it. What other "generations" are there? When was this book first published? Who are Strauss and Howe? Cultural and/or literary historians? Sociologists? Journalists? If the answers to at least the questions are not added, I doubt that this article will deserve the title "encyclopaedic" -- just because it is far too cryptic. --KF 19:58 Mar 31, 2003 (UTC)

I just found out that an overview is given at Generation, so I created a link to that page. This makes things a bit easier to understand. I'm still wondering about the point of that categorization: Could it in any way be compared to Charles A. Reich's Consciousness I, II and III? --KF 20:33 Mar 31, 2003 (UTC)

notability

[edit]

are there any references that anyone besides the two inventors of that term have ever used it? DGG (talk) 03:33, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
