Requesting wider attention

[edit]

I felt article Islamic_literature is in bit of neglect so I added my note on talk page there, requesting to take note of Talk:Islamic_literature#Article_review. If possible requesting copy edit support. Suggestions for suitable reference sources at Talk:Islamic_literature is also welcome.

Posting message here too for neutrality sake

Thanks and greetings

Peer Editing

[edit]

Hello fellow editors! I am a student editor, and over the next couple of weeks, I will be going through this article to edit for organization and tone edits. Specifically, I want to work with the history section to clean it up a bit and create a more encyclopedic tone. — Preceding unsigned comment added by KDBrox (talkcontribs) 18:52, 21 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@KDBrox: Hello KDB! Would you mind giving me proof that you are a student editor? I don't doubt your ability to do what you are saying, however your failure to sign your comment (before the bot) makes me a little suspicious. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 19:02, 21 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Nevermind, I looked at your userpage and saw the template. For future reference, when communicating with other editors on a talk page, you must always remember to sign your response using ~~~~, which adds your signature and a timestamp (if you forget a bot will eventually come around and add your signature for you, but you shouldn't have to rely on the bot to sign for you). ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 19:09, 21 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again! I apologize for not replying sooner, and I will sign all future correspondence before the bot does. I plan to work on the History section of the article for the next couple of days. My revisions will include making a separate section for examples of short stories as a lot of the history section is currently examples of short stories as well as going through the History section for encyclopedic tone. XHOSA

A shot story, olso known as nouvelle, is a piece of prose fiction that can typically be read in single sitting 41.114.235.196 (talk) 17:04, 20 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The nouvelle article indicates that a nouvelle is a novella, and so does not belong in this article.—Anita5192 (talk) 22:56, 20 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Extensive list

[edit]

This article has grown into an extensive list of lists of authors and their works. Per MOS:EMBED, embedded lists should be used only when appropriate. Since this article is ostensibly about short stories, I don't think these extensive lists are appropriate and should be removed.—Anita5192 (talk) 19:11, 16 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This article is about short stories in general—not specific individuals like Virat Kohli.—Anita5192 (talk) 04:59, 29 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
