WikiProject Food and Drink is one of the oldest WikiProjects on Wikipedia, beginning its life as the Gastronomy WikiProject in April 2003. Since that time, it has evolved into a comprehensive project covering numerous subjects and concentrations. However, it remains as an association of Wikipedians who share an interest in food and drink related matters who have come together to co-ordinate the development of these articles on Wikipedia.
If you would like to help or require assistance, please inquire on the talk page, check the "Ways to contribute" section on this page, or just dig in and start editing!

Good articles
Good articles are considered to be of good quality, but are not yet as qualified as featured articles. Good articles meet the good article criteria, passing through the good article nomination process successfully. In short, they are written very well, contain factually accurate and verifiable information, are broad in coverage, neutral in point of view, stable, and illustrated, where possible, by relevant images with suitable copyright licenses. Good articles do not have to be as comprehensive as featured articles, but they should not omit any major facets of the topic.
Did you know... (DYK) consists of a series of "hooks", which are interesting facts taken from Wikipedia's newest content, in the format "Did you know that...?" Something that appeared on DYK was identified by an editor as being from new or recently expanded content and proposed an interesting "hook" designed to catch the eye of other readers. DYK is not a general trivia section, but is only for articles that have been either, created, expanded at least five-fold or were newly sourced and expanded at least two-fold at the time they were featured on the main page.
You can join this project or any of the related task forces by adding your name on the participants list by clicking on the Members page link or going directly to the individual pages by using the navigation bar at the top of this page.
