It seems like the person who started this project will be away for a while. Why don't we get a few more people together and help out? Wikiproject:Digimon Systems Update CanadaGirl 03:56, 21 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Do you know if all The Seven Great Demon Lords are mega level Digimon? CanadaGirl

  • I should probably check out my Talk page more often. XD They're all Mega, except Lucemon Falldown Mode/Fallen Mode/Chaos Mode, who is a Perfect/Ultimate. Lucemon Satan Mode is related to the Seven Great Demon Lords though (but not a member), and he's a Mega.Shining Celebi 12:59, 9 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Seven Demon Lords

[edit]

Somehow, I see their goal to be one of conquest and destruction.

Hiya!

[edit]

While I currently lack the time to be active in Digimon-related things, it's good to see that someone who'll do good work on it has arrived on Wikipedia. :)Nightstallion (?) 07:32, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Pokémon

[edit]

Why did you name you after a Pokémon?

Botamon, Jyarimon, Nyokimon

[edit]

I couldn't find the contact info on Shining Evolution, so I thought I'd do this here - I've searched Japanese dictionaries for the two supposed words that the names are derived from, and for Botamon, nothing at all similar to coal showed up - however, "Botai" does mean "womb". Also, for Jyarimon, although it does mean pebbles, the same exact word (kanji and all) also means "toddler" (more specifically "rugrat" or "ankle-biter", but still). Since these conceptions have so much propagated through the community, I don't know exactly what to do, but your site has the most prestigious encyclopedia and site that I know of (since Megchan stopped with hers), so you seemed like the best person to tell.

EDIT: Also, Nyokinyoki doesn't seem to be a word - the closest I could find was "nyouki", which means urinal. I know there's "natural fertilization" methods, but I really can't see how those are related.

If you need to see the actual kanji, I made the changes on the List of Fresh Digimon article. In fact, if you could help me clean up that page (since you obviously have access to much better sources than I do - I can only do stuff from the anime and some of the manga), I would much appreciate it. Thanks!KrytenKoro 18:05, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On that note - where does the name "UlforceVeedramon Future Mode" come from? Both the manga and the cards (unless he's been released on the new dub cards) just call him "UlforceVdramon Super Ultimate". Thanks!KrytenKoro 09:38, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Since I happened to be in the area.. things like the derivation of Botamon's name come from Megchan's original encyclopedia, and she translates Japanese for a living so is generally a reliable source. Things like slang terms or onamatopeia may not be included in online Japanese dictionaries etc. My copy of the encyclopedia is unaltered (as I'm lazy) so Megchan herself is the source for everything in it.
