If Heraclius never captured Ctesiphon, then Heraclius needs fixing too. I have no references at hand, so can't adjudge the claim myself right now. Stan 06:00, 15 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Osprey Military, "Rome'enemies 3, Parthians and Sassanid Persians" put the number of romans in 70000 and the casualties of the persians in 50000 (and 28 standards). --Bentaguayre 17:10, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Numbers of Both Armies

[edit]

The Sassanids seemed eager to attack judging by this article and Heraclius seems to have been mainly employing defensive strategies. And yet, according to the numbers of both armies listed in this article, Heraclius had a large numerical advantage. Does anybody have more information on this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lucius Cornelius Balbus (talkcontribs) 21:19, 13 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

the alleged desertation of the göktürks

[edit]

Is there any historical evidence that confirms the desertation of the göktürks Its very likely that the victory was indeed secured by the göktürks 2A02:AA7:4626:3C7A:1:0:A6C2:51C7 (talk) 23:30, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, please see the article - the information is supported by a source from the Cambridge University. Speaking of which, do you yourself have any source(s) for your claim? --HistoryofIran (talk) 23:38, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
