After having read up a lot on Great Big Sea before writing their article, I was suprised when someone changed Alan Doyle's instrument from keyboard to bouzouki. I did a bit more research online, and can't find any evidence suppoerting this. Further, I found a number of pages that say he plays the keyboard. Hardly worth it for this stub. --Caliper 16:31, 3 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

As a fan of both Great Big Sea and 30 Odd Foot of Grunts since 2000, and a regular attendee of Great Big Sea shows in my area, I can definitely attest that Alan Doyle plays bouzouki as his secondary instrument and guitar as his primary instrument during concert performances. (He does play mandolin and other instruments in studio work, according to the liner notes on the various Great Big Sea albums, but guitar and bouzouki are his primary instruments.) Also, the correct name for Russell Crowe's band is 30 Odd Foot of Grunts. --Annathepiper 7:12PM, 31 July 2005 Pacific Time

I just watched the Alan Doyle interview on George Strombolopoulos, and I'm quite sure he said he was boy on bridge in a film called Whale for the Killing rather than a "lesser known jaws knock-off called Orca" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.180.199.227 (talk) 21:01, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
