Votes for Deletion

[edit]

I am glad that several key articles were voted on for deletion in September 2004, but were not deleted. It appears that justice sometimes takes place in Wikipedia. John Gohde 02:17, 9 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Merge

[edit]

I think this page and the page Yoga as exercise are both in need of some filling out. Perhaps if there can be a solid page on the western aspect of yoga, those interested in it as a health and well-being practise will be more inclined to work on it. bodhidharma 16:10, 30 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I came here 'cos suggestBot thought I'd be interested. I concur with your first sentence that they both need filling out. However, I'm not sure what you're proposing in the second sentence. Can you clarify?
Personally, I'd like to see Yoga (alternative medicine) fleshed out a lot more, and I'd be happy to merge the information from the yoga as exercise article. However, I think it's a bad idea to try to merge the other way round. Peace. ॐ Metta Bubble puff 15:30, 16 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Someone please check the hatha yoga section

[edit]

Could someone with more knowledge of yoga than me please check and edit the "hatha yoga" section. I was thinking about tagging it for clean-up because it is incoherent. It talks about yoga then all of a sudden goes into Chinese physical activites which it carries on for the remainder of the paragraph. Frankly, I couldn't make either head or tail of it.--Antorjal 03:40, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That was put in on June 20 by an anon editor [1], who hasn't been back. I will delete in a sec. Totnesmartin 20:30, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The link is to a college, rather than being about the form of yoga. Will remove. Totnesmartin 20:32, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Hatha Yoga section

[edit]

The Hatha Yoga section, previously described as incoherent, is both incoherent and unnecessary. It adds nothing to the discussion of alternative medicine, nor does it complement or add to the parent page (linked therein) on the subject of Hatha Yoga. For it to be useful or necessary, it seems that other forms of yoga would also need to be described and all of these sections focused on the individual healing properties of each.

I would not presume to delete it myself, but I hope this thread might result in this outcome or some value otherwise added to the section. Since1969 07:35, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
