I united the histories of Torsades de pointes and Torsade de pointes in this article. For what it's worth, the two medical texts I looked at index this under torsades de pointes, which is why it's here rather than there. - Nunh-huh 01:23, 12 Aug 2004 (UTC)

It'd be nice if someone could upload a graph because discussion of the baseline fluctuation is hard to visualize. --Piewalker 20:19, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I googled the term trying to find the correct original pronounciation, because I've heard so many versions of it... could a native francophone maybe write the IPA pronounciation in the introduction?89.27.91.122 (talk)

A "short-coupled variant of torsade de pointes", which presents without long QT syndrome, was also described in 1994.[8] XXX??

Drastic rotation of the heart's electrical axis
Prolonged QT interval (LQTS) - may not be present in the short-coupled variant of torsade de pointes
Preceded by long and short RR-intervals - not present in the short-coupled variant of torsade de pointes
Triggered by a premature ventricular contraction (R-on-T PVC)
