Mentioning Renaud

[edit]

Renaud Séchan and Coluche were not real-life friends AT ALL. Renaud asked Coluche to be his daughter's godfather - and Coluche accepted - but that's about all the real-life interaction they had. Their relationship, although cordial and friendly, was professional first and foremost, and even then, they rarely worked together. Renaud pretended that they were close friends after Coluche's death - as many celebrities did.

If we're here to relate facts, calling Renaud a 'close friend' of Coluche's is factually incorrect.

As for the song mentioned (Putain de camion): why mention this song when so many have been written about the topic? Simply mentioning the many songs, without citing one in particular, would be much more appropriate.

quotes

[edit]

the quotes are precious, thank you so much for these samples - but i'm not sure the "cheese" one is understandable for all anglo-saxon speakers (what may be the equivalent for "gruyere" ?)--So6sechs (talk) 00:26, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Joke?

[edit]

Hi, neither the french page nor any place googleable can one find any "Prix National des Euphémismes de Charente-Maritime". Is there a source for this claim? Is there even such a prix? I doubt it, although its mention on the site of a comedian makes perfect sense.  :-)

Which English variant spelling?

[edit]

This changed "meager" to "meagre", but the lead has "humor" and Coluche#Success has "behaviour". I see no indication of a preferred spelling in the entry and no obvious reason pointing either way. Does anyone have a suggestion besides "flip a coin"? The Crab Who Played With The Sea (talk) 15:45, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
