Experts

[edit]

You should address two issues. The first is on the problem of choosing experts. Any process of choosing experts is a process of choosing POVs. The only way to achieve NPOV within this is to choose experts who have or represent all of the prominent POVs, and this is challenging. Cortonin | Talk 00:52, 7 Mar 2005 (UTC)

The second is the problem of expert POV itself. I bet almost every expert on dairy farming will tell you that milk is good for you. Every dentist tells you that you should see a dentist every six months. Every librarian thinks books are better for you than TV. In the vast majority of cases, almost every group of experts on any topic has a strong preference for that particular topic. Anytime you introduce expert review, you strengthen this POV over the opposing POVs of outsiders. Cortonin | Talk 00:52, 7 Mar 2005 (UTC)
