Intro paragraph text

[edit]

The inclusion of calorie count in the introduction struck me as odd. I haven't seen another article on a mass produced food that includes it, so it doesn't seem to fit the standard format of information. Additionally, it may be harmful to those recovering from eating disorders, and might be better placed under a "nutrition information" section, if that were even deemed necessary/fitting. Other Brands

Fazer Corporation produces jaffa cakes in Finland, with different marmalade flavors including some of their more well-known sweets like Vihreät kuulat. Caiuzs (talk) 14:21, 19 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

either change the quoted "in a few mouthfuls" to "in one, possibly two, mouthfuls" or remove the quotations around "'In a few mouthfulls'" as it is not a direct quote. (http://www.timcrane.com/jaffa-cakes.html)

change "Mr Potter QC also expressed that nor were Jaffa Cakes biscuits." to "Mr Potter QC also determined that Jaffa Cakes were not Biscuits" as it is more grammatically correct GnomeSycke (talk) 08:11, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Done - I've moved the part about not being biscuits to the previous sentence rather than correct the sentence, to avoid redundancy. Tollens (talk) 19:04, 7 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sizing and calorie information is no longer up-to-date

[edit]

As of the date of this comment, as a result of shrinkflation, widely reported in UK press: https://www.mirror.co.uk/money/jaffa-cake-fans-furious-mcvities-30948536 (and others). Calorie count per biscuit is now 41 calories, according to information printed on a current box. Box sizes are 10/20 (not sure if this is already correct on the main article). 5.67.15.13 (talk) 15:35, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
