[edit]

Based on the sources nothing really indicates this guys are from South America (European names, fluent english sources) I don't know wheteher or not this is vandalized. User:Camilo Sanchez
Are they really from Caracas and Bogota or is somebody having a joke? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.72.202.50 , 8 March 2008 (UTC)

No, they are not from caracas nor bogota, I'm changing the article. See [1], [2] and [3] for more info. Rh.winter (talk) 20:24, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

'Jodi' or 'Jodi.org'?

[edit]

This folks are way famous as 'jodi.org' rather than just 'jodi'. I think the list link should say 'jodi.org'

I don't think it matters, se sources above. They are generally refered to as simply "JODI". Rh.winter (talk) 20:24, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Most of the links from jodi does not work as of january 23rd 2005. Maybe they will later, but if not it should be updated.

I tested them all, and they worked, except for [4]. I'll remove that. Rh.winter (talk) 20:24, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Webby speech

[edit]

The Webby speech (I was there) was a 5 word speech. It was either Ugly commercial sons of bitches or Ugly corporate sons of bitches. I forget which it was though. That speech plus the onstage throwing of their award at a photographer got them ejected from the event.

delete??

"Their work challenged expectations of the behavior of the computer, created humor from the misery of the glitch and the virus, reanimated obsolete technologies, and satirized the ocean of opinion and convention that governs the practice of interface design."

I'm not positive what this means, and I'm not sure it's supposed to mean anything. I'm tempted to just delete most of the sentance unless someone can explain it a little better? Mrjeff 13:25, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Go for it. When I read that my immediate thought was to throw up an original research or NPOV tag. John Kugelman 20:14, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

1995 def.

[edit]

This def. has not been around since "1995" as was stated in the article text.

Yes it has. wwwwwwwww.jodi.org was published in 1995, for corroboration see this interview with JODI: http://www.nettime.org/Lists-Archives/nettime-l-9708/msg00112.html and this page from ICC in Tokyo: http://www.ntticc.or.jp/Archive/2005/art_meets_media/Mediaonline/netart.html

I remember the original site from 1995 it's still online here http://asdfg.jodi.org/-------------------------------/-------------------------------/-------------------------------/-----------------------402vm981/vb713d.html wwwwwwwww.jodi.org as it exists now was the second offering from www.jodi.org

Unlikely the original site was http://asdfg.jodi.org/-------------------------------/-------------------------------/-------------------------------/-----------------------402vm981/vb713d.html It makes use of Javascript, which was not introduced until December 1995. Also, the year listed here: http://www.ntticc.or.jp/Archive/2005/art_meets_media/Mediaonline/netart.html is 1998. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.212.28.254 (talk) 06:08, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
