I have attempted to list this on Cleanup, but keep getting shuttled to "Spam protection filter". Attempts to list this problem on the Village pump are causing the same problem. -- RickK 19:55, Jun 18, 2004 (UTC)

Artsist on the label

[edit]

It's unsourced, but the "factual accuracy" tag was removed anyway.

  • Tha Eastsidaz- The Eastsidaz split up. - completed
  • Lady of Rage- Does she even put out music anymore? - completed
  • Daz- Signed to SoSoDef - completed
  • 213- Signed to TVT - completed
  • Mykestro- Unsigned - completed

Never even heard of these people (I know that's not a reason, but I'm just saying):

  • Niggarochie - completed
  • J. Black - completed
  • Mira Mira - completed
  • Shon Don - completed
  • James - completed

And again, there is no source for any of it.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Ted87 (talkcontribs)

Niggaracci is actually Snoop Dogg himself. --- 72.142.212.28 00:49, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ok no prob. Artists who have been/are currently signed include: so it means that they were at some points signed to the label. To get all of them sourced one by one it would require many work and many links (about 30 links), so it is widely easier to click on them, and see their own pages. For example you visit Tha Eastsidaz page and you will see that they had released albums on Doggystyle before they split up. The five names you mentioned are all included in the Welcome to tha Chuuch - Da Album compilation, which was meant to inroduce new artists discovered by Snoop with some old mates (Lady of Rage - possible So So Def now, Doggy earlier), so they released solo songs under the label too. Niggarochie has been also involved in the Welcome to tha chuuch mixtape series (see Doggystyle Records Discography). It can happen that Mykestro is not yet signed but Snoop had him involved in the "Cali Iz Active" single video shoot see West coast hip hop bottom page for details. That's it so far. I hope these reasons meet Wikipedia standards. If not let me know and I try to get some links for you, but in that case we should wait for re-launch of doggystylerecords.com, because until then only the MySpace page is left for us for gathering first-hand info. Ooh and yes, almost forgot, 213 is joint venture (for that one and only album). Lajbi Holla @ meWho's the boss? 20:34, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I see. Looks alright then. And I know about Mykestro at the Cali is active video shoot- I wrote that part of the west coast hip hop article. :P --Ted87 21:28, 19 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed some more things in the artists section. Included what was discussed above. Lajbi Holla @ meWho's the boss? 00:16, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Tried to format the roster section similarly as seen on other Record company pages. Added much more info. Lajbi Holla @ meWho's the boss? 01:06, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is this guy the same as the one in College Hill and American Idol? Lajbi Holla @ meWho's the boss? 01:57, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Splitting artists section

[edit]

I'm going to split the artists section into seperate sections for former and current artists and maybe add another sub section like "affiliated artists" or whatever is better. Any help would be appreiacted. --Ted87 20:53, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Doggystyle RecordsDoggy Style Recordswww.snoop-dogg.com and the California Secretary of State shows the name as "Doggy Style Records", not "Doggystyle Records". Also, more references use Doggy Style Records than Doggystyle Records. -- Uzma Gamal (talk) 13:08, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Support. Moving is obvious. Lajbi Holla @ meCP 16:42, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
