Note

[edit]

Removed the phrase "Hamauzu's creative ability is evident in his compositions for Final Fantasy X." because his creative ability is evident in all of his compositions!

I don't have the time to fully discuss his foray into other genres, but I have at least begun to speak of it.

I made some changes in wording, some of it was pretty middle-schoolish. Fixed date/link on Unlimited SaGa (game was released in 2002 in Japan, 2003 in America.) Article is still far from perfect. I'd like to say more about his music, but lack the vocabulary.

Uematsu picture

[edit]

I think the picture should be removed because it's very misleading. At first glance people would think it's Hamauzu and needless to say it's not him. Moreover, Uematsu's face has nothing do with the article, and just because there's no Hamauzu picture doesn't mean we should just put random photos of other people just to illustrate the article. I've removed the image. See the edit summary for an explanation. The Prince (talk) 22:19, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hamauzu's father

[edit]

I believe the IP address is in fact right in saying that his father is Japanese, not German. I searched Akimori Hamauzu and I found this. I can't read Japanese, so if anyone does, it would be nice to confirm if it's his father or not. The source which states Hamauzu's father is German (Square Enix Music Online) isn't the most reliable source there is. I know for a fact that this indicates the supposed father is an opera singer which Square Enix Music Online also confirms. So the two sources aren't all THAT conflicting. Anyway, it would be good to get the facts straight. The Prince (talk) 11:19, 2 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
