See Talk:All-time medal tally of Commonwealth Games for discussion on this and other related merges. Kevin 04:52, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

All Teams

[edit]

There were 17 nations, so with 15 flags the page is two short - Hong Kong and ?? Will try to work it out! Hugo999 (talk) 06:53, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dubious

[edit]

"ss this was a breakthrough for women in sport that would one day lead to full recognition and programming for women's athletics on the international stage." -- Women's athletics had been at the 1928 Olympics and the 1932 Olympics. In 1932, GB, Canada and S Africa sent women; Canada had done so in 1928. jnestorius(talk) 14:35, 23 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Well the text was a WP:COPYVIO of the CGF site, so I've expunged it. jnestorius(talk) 14:56, 23 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

15, 16, or 17 teams?

[edit]

The lede says 17 but the list gives 16. Also, at Talk:Ireland at the British Empire Games#Irish Free State in 1934? I question the nature of the Irish Free State's presence. jnestorius(talk) 14:35, 23 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've added Trinidad to the list (dunno how to get the flag template to work). Still dubious of Irish Free State, mind; the CGF doesn't list it. jnestorius(talk) 14:56, 23 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Flag of Newfoundland in 1934

[edit]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8nd9tqaXR8 At around the 1:04 mark, the Newfoundland delegation appears to be using their red ensign.1982vdven (talk) 22:57, 14 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
