TITLE

[edit]

Why the title of this page has been changed from Marina Militare to Italian Navy? I think it should be kept the original title Marina Militare because it is its correct name and it is commonly known with this name. Italian navy is not the correct translation and it is practically never used in nautical terminology, so it results a popular and generic term; moreover there is the possibility to fall in error with the old Regia Marina. I suggest to use the term Italian navy only for the disambiguation page. Paul

ERRATA CORRIGE

[edit]

How can you say that "The Italian Navy is considered to be the 5th or 6th most powerful navy in the European Union. The Marina Militare also has minor Blue water capabilities though rarely operates out side of Europe." LOL

With 2 aircraft carriers LOL only three countries in the world have more than 1 aircraft carriers, and 10 FREMM frigates LOL

How can you say that "The Marina Militare also has minor Blue water capabilities though rarely operates out side of Europe" when in 10 days The Nave Cavour has reached haiti LOL

I agree with you; the Marina Militare, with two aircraft carriers and severals destroyers is commonly involved in NATO operations in Blue waters, so I removed this part of the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.0.222.49 (talk) 18:50, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rademire 2, why are you continually removing images from this page without passing from the discussion page? if you do not agree we could discuss to see if pictures and information are correct or not before eliminate them so repeatedly. Don't you think so? Paolo —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.44.219.65 (talk) 17:27, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Specialized Construction

[edit]

I do believe that in the modern Marina Militare, the hulls below the waterline are constructed from transparent materials so as to facilitate visual perception of the earlier Marina Militare.
