[edit]

Article moved from "Archdiocese of Denver" to "Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Denver" for (1) uniformity with other Roman Catholic diocesan article titles as per wiki standard and (2) clarity between denominational diocesan territories of similar names. --Gerald Farinas 23:00, 15 Mar 2005 (UTC)

I would be fine with reducing the mention in the lead of ABC's position, but I maintain it should be mentioned there in some capacity. carl bunderson (talk) (contributions) 16:25, 22 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Now it doesn't---Balloonman Poppa Balloon 22:33, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Samuel Joseph Aquila is not the Archbishop of Denver until he is formally installed. The Archdiocese remains under an Apostolic Adminstration until Aquila takes canonical possess of the Diocese on July 18, 2012. Aquila is the Archbishop Elect or Designate until that point in time. He remains the Bishop of Fargo, but his authority is now limited.---Balloonman Poppa Balloon 20:35, 29 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

wasn't sure if it was designate or elect, but ArchDen is using the designate title. (Elect is used when a person hasn't been consecrated as a bishop, but there is no special consecration for ArchBishop. So it is designate.)---Balloonman Poppa Balloon 21:29, 29 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Logo Incorrect

[edit]

Hello there,

My name is Patrick Finegan and I work for the Archdiocese of Denver. I manage our websites and our brand. I would like to remove the current main shield displayed on our page and replace it with our official logo. I tried to upload it to the page but was unable and received a message saying it was unable to verify the authenticity of the image.

Any help would be appreciated. You can find the logo here.

Thanks! Patrick.finegan (talk) 22:11, 21 September 2017 (UTC)Patrick[reply]

July 2021 Latin Church revision

[edit]

As of July 2021, this article was modified to eliminate the nondescript term "Roman Catholic" in favor of the more precise distinction of "Latin Church" (the sui iuris church) and "Catholic Church" (the denomination). If you believe this edit to be in error or improper, please make the relevant reversion and open discussion on this talk page or my personal talk page. Thank you. ~ Pbritti (talk) 19:22, 20 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
